The chakras are the seven primary energy centers in the human body. They are responsible for directing the flow of energy through our bodies. Our chakras may be either open or closed, depending on our mental and spiritual state at any given time, and may even cause illness or disease when out of balance.
They are located along a line that is running from the top of the head to the base of the spine, and each is associated with a different part of the body.
When all chakras are in balance, the mind, body and spirit can work together harmoniously.
Described as wheels of force or energy, chakras are transfer points of our thoughts and the physical functioning of the specific endocrine glands. Chakras exist on the outside of the physical body, in the Aura and are the points of connection through which energy flows from one being to another. When chakras are properly energized and are balanced with no stuck, dense energies. You are healthy. Though you may not see the chakras, you might feel them using your hands and even check their status (energized, depleted or congested). According to a person’s level of development, chakras appear different in diameters. There are around more than 3000 chakras in a human being, each at every joint of bones; the one around the nervous system is considered to be more receptive to Reiki energy.
